Youth Auxiliaries
Part of the mission for Glory Phi God is to help our young people work their God-given gifts. It is our belief that the youth ministry is most effective when the youth are actively involved in every aspect of the ministry. Below is a list of auxiliaries that provide youth with the opportunity to develop their gifts and use them to Glory Phi God.

Counselors
Proverbs 11:14/Proverbs 15:22
We expect young people to make decisions for Christ in our services. If you are interested in touching the lives of people who need God this department is for you. Don’t worry if you have never done it before because we will show you! Teenagers reach other teenagers and this is your opportunity to do just that!

Creative Works
Do you love to draw? (Please no stick figures.) Do you have dreams about being on Trading Spaces? Are you really creative? If the answer is yes the creative works department is looking for you. This aux is responsible for the decorations at different events, props for plays, etc.

Intercessory Prayer Team

Psalm 149:3
Leading prayer before youth service and learn the rules for prayer.

Seniors
The graduating class will plan senior activities, get-togethers, various outings, and events for the senior class. Also, seniors will meet to gain valuable information on applying to college, financial aid and scholarships.

Male/Female Group
Men will serve with our “Men of Valor & Excellence. Ladies will serve with our “Ladies of Virtue and Excellence. The purpose of these ministries is to help develop our youth and provide fellowship with peers and leaders.

Drama
I Peter 2:9
Calling all drama queens and kings! If you love to act or think that you can (we’ll be the boss of that!) come showcase your skills in the drama department. We are looking for the next Denzel!

Ushers/Hostesses/Greeters
If you love to smile and make other people feel good this is the place for you. This department represents our front line defense. People decide whether they are going to come back or not in the first 10 minutes of the service. If your heart is to serve people with kindness, tell them where to sit (nicely), and to help hand out really colorful paper you found your spot!

Men’s & Ladies Step Team
Now this one is for the young men and ladies of God. If you love to make noise and like yell'in you will love this aux! Our step team offers an excellent opportunity to glorify God with the beat of feet! (Clean feet, please!

Choir
If singing is yo’ thang we are definitely looking for you. Our choir offers a great opportunity for you to express your gift to sing. Not only will you have a chance to be around other teens who love to sing you will also have the opportunity to do more things like participate on our praise team, solos, etc.

Band
If you can play an instrument let us know! We would love to talk to you!

SCHEDULES

Requirements

Academic:

• Youth may join an auxiliary withy any GPA. After a whole card marking they must meet the GPA requirements:
• After a whole card marking they must meet the GPA requirements
• Involvement in one auxiliary requires a 2.6 GPA
• Involvement in two auxiliary requires a 3.0 GPA
• Involvement in three auxiliary requires a 3.4 GPA

Guidelines for Non-Compliance:

• Requirement is based on quarter GPA not overall GPA
• After first card marking below requirement youth may continue to serve provided they receive academic assistance
• After second card marking below requirements youth cannot serve in auxiliary
• If the youth serves in three auxiliaries and has between a 3.0 and a 3.3 GPA for the second card marking they may continue to serve in only two auxiliaries
• If a youth serves in two auxiliaries and has between 2.6 and a 2.9 GPA they may continue to serve in only one auxiliary

Spiritual:

• Born Again
• Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of Speaking in Tongues
• Must complete Youth Membership Class
• Must complete Youth Believer’s Class
• Must attend Sunday and Wednesday youth services
• Must attend scheduled auxiliary meetings
• Respect those who are in Authority
• Glorify God in Body, Spirit, and Soul
